Hedwick Chimanda


Head: Human Resources

Master of Science in Strategic Human Resources Management from the Midlands State University

First‑Class Bachelor of Administration in Personnel Management from Fort Hare University in South Africa

She underwent  Senior Leadership Development Programme with the University of Stellenbosch

She holds Professional certifications which include a Diploma in Law, Conciliation and Arbitration, a Certificate of Proficiency in Short & Long‑Term Insurance, and a Certificate of Proficiency in Trusteeship

Hedwick Chimanda was appointed Head of Human Resources effective 19 January 2026. Hedwick has over 20 years of experience in Human Resources and Operations, including more than a decade in senior leadership roles. She is known for driving human capital transformation, enhancing organisational performance, and leading impactful, people‑centred initiatives across the financial services industry and the broader corporate sector. She has successfully designed and implemented HR strategies, strengthened performance and engagement frameworks, and advanced culture programmes that improve productivity and employee experience.

Her career includes distinguished leadership roles such as Group Human Capital Director at Zimnat Financial Services and later Claims Director within the same organisation, and most recently Chief Operations Officer at 263HuB (Masawara Holdings).
